About
Modal Analysis is performed on different vehicle components to prevent the failure of the part due to resonance. During this project, different hammer tips were analyzed, and a modal analysis was performed on a disc rotor to find the natural frequencies associated with the modes of vibration.

Method
Three accelerometers were fixed at three different locations on the rotor disc, and an impact hammer was used to induce vibrations roving around all the points on the rotor disc. The acceleration and force data were recorded using an eDAQ.

Result
The data from the accelerometers and force transducer was processed using Siemens Testlab to find the natural frequencies associated with vibration modes.
