BIW MODAL ANALYSIS

A Honda Civic Body-in-White structure was analyzed through a shaker modal analysis test. The frame was measured for mode shape information, drive-point measurement, and reciprocity in the frame.

MODAL ANALYSIS OF A BRAKE ROTOR

Modal Analysis is performed on components of a vehicle to reduce the possibility of resonance between two components. One such analysis was performed on a brake rotor using Siemens Testlab.

ORDER ANALYSIS

Data was recorded from a BMW run on a chassis dynamometer. This gave me exposure to the instrumentation of a vehicle using accelerometers and microphones. The data was analyzed using Siemens Testlab to plot color maps, order maps and 1/3rd octave maps.
